Welcome to Friday's home learning activities (27.3.2020).
We have made it through another week! Good job everybody! Here are some tasks that you could have a go at today. Thank you for all the lovely emails and sharing of work on purple mash - I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing what everybody has been getting up to!
Number - Today I would like you to investigate how many ways you could find the answer to the question. You need to choose 4 colours (or 4 patterns if you don't have any colours eg, spots, stripes, wavy lines etc). Using those colours or patterns only, how many different colour combinations can you put on the flags? Copy the template on your page and investigate how many was you could work out the answer? Once you think you have all the answers, I want you to tell me how you know that you have got them all and what you did.
Email me or upload your answers to purple mash so we can compare investigations!
Writing- On Wednesday you should have produced a fabulous setting description to go alongside your setting pictures from Monday. I now want you edit your setting description to include adjectives, similes, exciting openers and conjunctions. Once you are happy with your paragraph, I want you to decide on a character who might live in that setting. Draw your character and label them with adjectives and similes. Email me or upload your characters to purple mash if you fancy.
Art - Have a go at the Rob Bidulph videos from this week to add to your collection (links on the purple mash blog) and/or you might want to create a beautiful rainbow to stick on your window to share with people in the outside world. Be creative - will you collage, paint, draw or make your rainbow? Could you include an inspirational or happy message?
Reading – Choose your school reading book or one of your favourites and snuggle up, get cosy and have a read! Challenge - can you create a reading den to read your book in or find a cosy place in your house? Share what you did by email or on purple mash to spread some reading happiness!
If you don't have a reading book, you can get a free e-book here https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/find-a-book/library-page/?view=image&query=&type=book&age_group=Age+7-9&level=&level_select=&book_type=&series=#
